Our first movie will be… Chinatown The movie Chinatown takes place in Los Angeles, but it is a great movie and inspired me to want to explore the Chinatowns throughout New York City. The movie stars Jack Nicholson as a detective, Faye Dunaway as Mrs. Mulwray and is directed by Roman Polanski. It won an Oscar for Original Screenplay in 1975. Queens Crossing is the most modern of the food halls. Located on 39th street just off of Main street, it has fancy neon and clean architectural lines. There is a parking garage for those that decide to not take the subway. The main entrance is one floor up off of 39th street, about a block from the Main Street subway station. This is not a large food hall, there are less than 20 stalls. The stalls are spread out, but there is plenty of great food to eat. Much of the food is Japanese influenced.
